Sunday School

2008-2009 Program

Welcome to Hephatha Lutheran Church’s Sunday School Program. Our program serves children from 3 years of age to the Sixth Grade. Our purpose is to help provide a foundation for their continued Christian growth and development based on the true Word of God as spoken through the Bible. We utilize the Lutheran Program from Concordia entitled “Growing In Christ.”

Our Sunday School Program begins at 9:30 am in the Fellowship Hall with music and offering, and then dismisses to grade level classes. Our Sunday School Program ends upon completion of the 9:30 am Church Service. Though we understand the need for Fellowship after our Church Service, we would appreciate your cooperation with picking up your child as soon as possible. Just a reminder that for the safety of our children, children should not be on the Preschool Playground without adult supervision and only children in the 7th through 12th Grades are allowed in the Youth Center with adult supervision.

A completed registration form is required for all children of all ages. Bring the completed form to the Fellowship Hall and the Superintendent will make a copy of the completed form for your child’s teacher and file the original in the Superintendent’s binder. Having an emergency phone number and current information in the Health Information section is important in case of an emergency. Download Registration Form.

Preschool and Kindergarten children need to be signed “in” to the Fellowship Hall and “out” of their class rooms by the responsible adults listed on their registration forms. This procedure gives our children a safe place to meet their parents after the Church Service/Sunday School time and keeps the children from wandering through the Church Campus looking for their parents.

Children will be provided with Sunday School Offering envelopes so that they can learn to share with others. Our offerings benefit the many missionary projects performed by our Church.

Our Sunday School “staff” is comprised of dedicated Christian Volunteers. We would be delighted and blessed to add YOU to this wonderful opportunity to serve the Lord, to the Glory of God for the enrichment of our children.
