About Us
Hephatha Lutheran School was established in 1983 with a vision to minister and educate the young people in a new, booming community. Through the years, the school has grown and become an environment that the faculty members, church members, and other stakeholders feels blessed to call home.
Hephatha grades are Preschool-8th grade. The Preschool and the grade school has approximately 200 students each. Hephatha offers an enriched curriculum with music and band, computers, library, electives, and Homework Club, Spanish (K-8), band, chess club, art club, Artmasters, cheerleading, drill team, theatre, and after school sports for grades 5-8.
Over the past 4 years 78% of Hephatha’s graduates attended Lutheran High School of Orange County. After high school our graduates have attended various places for higher education such as: Concordia, Notre Dame, Princeton, Chapman, USC, UCLA, and many others.
Information received from graduates and their families is that students that attend Hephatha for their elementary and or junior high years are well prepared for high school and higher education. This is consistent with Hephatha’s school philosophy and our expected school wide learning results.
Hephatha Lutheran School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and National Lutheran School Accreditation. The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) awarded Hephatha Lutheran School a full 6-year accreditation.
Hephatha Lutheran School is led by our Principal K.J. Voelker. To contact her or the school office on enrollment information please call 714 637-0887 ext 101 or email her at kjvoelker@sbcglobal.net. Other phone extensions and e-mail addresses are available in the Staff Directory.
